NYCLU Field Department Volunteer Team Meeting (2006)

Come to this bi-weekly meeting of the NYCLU's Field Department Volunteer Team.

Every meeting, activists from throughout New York meet at the NYCLU offices to work on civil liberties campaigns.

Current campaigns include:

Charge or Release Bill: This committee is working on getting the Charge or Release bill--legislation that would mandate that every person arrested in New York City is arraigned within 24 hours or released. More information here: http://www.nycbordc.o...

NSA Surveillance: This committee is organizing the citywide Town Hall meeting on the NSA's warrantless surveillnace program with Congressman Jerry Nadler. The event is currently scheduled for Tuesday, January 16th, at NYU School of Law. Help us make this happen!
